Self-driving Cars Would Slash Traffic, End Street Parking

When you see black and white photographs of residential city street scenes 100 years ago, in Europe at least, there's a complete lack of parked cars. That’s not surprising given that only the rich owned them. Now, in big cities like London, Berlin and Paris, not only are the streets clogged with traffic, but there are almost no road-side parking spaces.
